Deputy Minister Designate Bropleh Promises Teamwork

Deputy Transport Minister for Land and Rail-Designate at the Ministry of Transport, Mrs. Juanita T. Bropleh has promised teamwork and closer collaboration during her tenure at the Ministry of Transport.
Appearing before the Senate Committee on Transport on Monday, July 13, 2015, at the Capitol Building for confirmation hearing, the Deputy Minister-Designate told Lawmakers that it is only through teamwork that any organization or leader can succeed.“I will remain committed to promoting teamwork not only in the Department of Land and Rail in particular but the Ministry as a whole. She said workings of the Ministry of Transport are not totally strange to her as her current position and previous ones at the LRA had afforded her the opportunity over the years to regularly interact with staffers of the Ministry of Transport. The Deputy Minister-Designate averred that when confirmed by the Liberian Senate, she will institute the necessary reforms that will boost Government revenue collection through the services provided by the Ministry of Transport. She pledged closer collaboration with the Senate and all transport sector stakeholders in the execution of her duties.
Touching on policies, the Deputy Minister-Designate told the Committee that consistent with the Act creating the Ministry of Transport, and under the direction of Minister Cassell Bush, she will initiate the promulgation of sound policies from time to time for the growth of the Ministry of Transport and overall improvement of the transport sector.
Concluding, the Deputy Minister-Designate expressed thanks and sincere deep appreciation to the President of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for her preferment and pledge to work assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in her.
