Minister Tyler officially takes charge,Vows that all vehicles be insured under the Compulsory Third Party Liability Insurance policy.

Monrovia-March 1, 2024: Transport Minister, Honorable Sirleaf Ralph Tyler officially takes office on Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Ministry of Transport.

The induction program of the new minister, who served in the capacity as Deputy Minister for Administration and Insurance for 6 years under the George M. Weah's Administration was attended by scores of high-ranking officials of government and representatives of key national stakeholders, including members of the International Community.

In a special statement, Minister Tyler extended thanks and appreciation to His Excellency, President Joseph N. Boakai for his preferment and promised to deliver in the transport sector in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the "ARREST" Agenda of the Government.

He further expressed his willingness to work with employees of the Ministry and will ensure that professionalism is the hallmark under his leadership as Minister. He urged his principal deputies and assistants to work harder and assured that their works would not be intruded by his office for any obvious reasons as long as they perform under the canopy of mutual respects and competence He also said, "Under my administration, all vehicles including a moving train will be registered and duly insured under the Compulsory Third Party Liability Insurance Scheme as provided by law."

Minister Tyler also emphasized the urgent need for collaboration with road safety related institutions like Road Safety International to address road safety issues in the country.  He also said that in order to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity at the Ministry, his administration will institute internal reforms, including "staff alignment and realignment," payroll audits, assets assessment, review of all contracts,  expansion on the Ministry's decentralization plan,  tours around the country to ensure that concessions or companies comply with transport regulations.
